Battlefields

Day 1 - Tuesday:

After completing our pick ups we head to Dover for a short sea ferry crossing to Dunkerque. On arrival we continue to our hotel in Ypres. Dinner in the hotel this evening.

Day 2 - Wednesday:

Today, explore the powerful legacy of World War I with a visit to the In Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres. Through personal stories, artifacts and interactive exhibits, the museum offers a moving insight into the human experience of the Great War. Your day also includes a 4-hour guided tour along the historic “14–18” route, led by an expert local Ypres-based guide. Visit key battlefields, memorials and landmarks of the Western Front, gaining a deeper understanding of the events and sacrifices that shaped this region. We return back to the hotel in time for dinner.

Day 3 - Thursday:

After breakfast we’ll embark on a full-day guided tour of key World War I battlefields, led by a knowledgeable local guide. The day includes a visit to the remarkable Wellington Quarry, an underground network where Allied soldiers prepared for one of the war’s major offensives. Walk through the original tunnels and learn about the planning, hardship and bravery that defined life beneath the front lines. The tour also features visits to significant sites and memorials across the region, offering a deeper understanding of the events and personal stories that shaped the course of the Great War.

Day 4 - Friday:

Sadly, it’s time to check out and head home. We’ll cross back to Dover by ferry from Dunkerque.
