We travel from Portsmouth by Hovercraft to Ryde on the Isle of Wight. The hovercraft service takes just 10 minutes. We then have time to explore the vibrant seaside town of Ryde. With its long sandy beach, Victorian Pier and lively town centre offering independent shops, cafes and historic buildings, Ryde is a lovely place to spend the day.

An old favorite popular seaside town on the South Coast, Eastbourne boasts a splendid traditional pier, beautiful carpet gardens along a flat promenade and a good variety of local shops.
We spend the morning in Broadstairs, a seaside town full of nostalgic, old-world, seaside charm, relaxed and unspoilt. We move on this afternoon to Captain Digby’s Pub, situated on the clifftop overlooking Kingsgate Bay, we enjoy a lovely 2-course pub lunch.
