A weekend break to Manchester for fans of Coronation Street. Go behind the scenes of the Coronation Street set, see the Rovers Return, stroll past Roy’s Rolls and follow in the footsteps of our favourite characters. Day 1 - Friday
We depart Kent this morning and travel to Wilmslow, arriving at the Best Western Plus Pinewood Hotel for our 3 night stay.
DDay 2 - Saturday
After breakfast, we travel to the Trafford Centre, a large indoor shopping and leisure complex and home to many restaurants where you can enjoy lunch. If retail therapy is not your thing, there is the option to visit the Manchester Sea Life Centre. In the afternoon we make our way to the ITV studios for our Coronation Street Tour. Explore Coronation Streets’ famous cobbles as you stroll past Roy’s Rolls or check out Kev’s car shop, Webster’s Auto Centre. Wander past The Kabin, see the most action-packed pub in the North West, The Rovers Return and even Weatherfield North. We return to the hotel in time for dinner.
B, DDay 3 - Sunday
After breakfast, we embark on a one-hour heritage cruise along the River Irwell and the Manchester Ship Canal. We start at Salford Quays before heading towards the city of Manchester and the River Irwell. Along the route, you will hear stories of the Emma Boat Tragedy (1828) and Mark Addy, Salford’s lifesaving hero, the 16,000 navvies who dug out the canal, Manchester Liners and how the canal was a target for Luftwaffe bombers in 1940. Afterward, we have free time in Manchester to enjoy lunch and some retail therapy
B, DDay 4 - Monday
We check out after breakfast and head home.

The tranquil Best Western Plus Pinewood Hotel is located in Wilmslow. All bedrooms are ensuite and have a television, telephone and hairdryer along with tea & coffee making facilities and an iron/ironing board. The hotel has a lift which serves some floors.
