This day trip offers the chance to explore the historic town of Arundel, set in the heart of the South Downs and known for its medieval castle, riverside walks, and charming independent shops. There will be free time to enjoy the town at your own pace—whether that’s taking a stroll along the River Arun, browsing local boutiques, or relaxing in one of the many cafés and tea rooms.

During your visit the Carpet of Flowers will be on display at Arundel Cathedral, this is an annual tradition for the Feast of Corpus Christi. The cathedral’s central aisle is beautifully decorated with thousands of fresh flower petals, carefully arranged by volunteers into a new and intricate design each year.

Whether it’s the flowers, the shops, or the views, Arundel is a lovely place to spend the day.
