Day 1 - Sunday

We depart Kent and make our way to our overnight hotel, the Holiday Inn Preston. Dinner included at the hotel this evening.

Day 2 - Monday

Travel to our Hotel in Irvine.
After breakfast, we leave our overnight hotel and make our way to our mainstay hotel in Irvine, the Riverside Lodge Hotel. We check in and have time to freshen up and settle into our rooms before our evening meal.

Day 3 - Tuesday

Visit Great Cumbrae
This morning, we enjoy a scenic drive to the charming seaside resort of Largs for the short crossing to Great Cumbrae. The small and picturesque island is only 10 miles round. We stop in Millport before returning.
This afternoon, we head to Troon. We include time at leisure in the busting harbour town, with its sandy beaches and beautiful views, before returning to our hotel.

Day 4 - Wednesday

Culzean Castle
Today we head south to Culzean Castle & Gardens, perched high above the Ayrshire cliffs. A costumed guide will share all the secrets of the castle, once home to the cheiftan of Clan Kennedy, an ancient Scottish family descended from Robert the Bruce. This afternoon we spend time in the popular seaside town of Ayr.

Day 5 - Thursday

Isle of Arran
Today we enjoy a full day excursion to the Isle of Arran, beginning with an included visit to Brodick Castle. Dramatically set against the backdrop of Goatfell, the grand red sandstone, baronial-style castle has stunning views over Brodick Bay and boasts impressive gardens. We spend time in Brodick before boarding our short ferry back to mainland.

Day 6 - Friday

We check our after breakfast and head home.

THE RIVERSIDE LODGE HOTEL

The 4 star Riverside Lodge Hotel is an independently owned, modern, low rise hotel on the outskirts of the town. Its set it its own well maintained grounds which you are able to walk within. Much of the hotel including the reception, lounge, bar and restaurant have been redesigned and refurbished in 2018 to a high standard. The hotel offers 128 rooms, half of which are on the ground floor, with the remaining being on the first floor, via a set of stairs.
