Best of Britain

Day 1 - Tuesday:

We depart Kent and travel to Cambridge, where we will spend a few hours at leisure. Spend time exploring the charming City and grabbing some lunch, before we continue our journey North to York.

Day 2 - Wednesday:

At leisure in York.
Today, we head into the centre of York, where you will have the day at leisure. Within York's towering medieval walls is a heart of rich colourful character, with its history recorded in the streets. Discover as many of the treasures and archetictural gems this remarkable city has to offer, its cobbled streets, the famous Shambles and the National Railway Museum.

Day 3 - Thursday:

York to Edinburgh via Jedburgh We check out of our hotel in York and make our way to the popular city of Edinburgh. We stop via the pretty little border town of Jedburgh, with stunning views of Jedburgh Abbey.

Day 4 - Friday:

At Leisure in Edinburgh.
Today is at leisure in Edinburgh. Renowned for its heritage and culture, there are plenty of exciting things to do in Edinburgh. With stunning architecture, endless winding streets and an awe-inspiring castle perched on a dormant volcano, there's nowhere else quite like it.

Day 5 - Saturday:

Moffatt - Gretna Green - Keswick
We depart Edinburgh and make our way to the Lake District. We travel through the beautiful Pentland Hills to Moffatt before continuing on to Gretna Green for lunch. This afternoon, we move on to Keswick for time at leisure. We arrive at our hotel in time to freshen up before our evening meal.

Day 6 - Sunday:

Scenic Lake District
We check out of our hotel in Barrow-in-Furness this morning and travel into the heart of the Lake District. Enjoy a scenic drive through the lakes, with plenty of photo opportunities and time at leisure. We include Windermere, Bowness, Grassmere and Ambleside. We continue to our hotel located just outside Chester. Arriving in time to freshen up before dinner.

Day 7 - Monday:

At Leisure in Chester
Breakfast at the hotel, we then head into the centre of Chester, where you will have the day to explore. In the charming City of Chester, you'll find cobbled streets, a Roman Ampitheatre, 1000 year old Cathedral and of course the world famous Chester Rows for shopping, dining and drinking.

Day 8 - Tuesday:

Chester to Stratford-Upon-Avon
We depart Chester and head to our next hotel in Stratford-Upon-Avon, where we spend the next 2 nights. Arriving at our centrally located hotel this afternoon, you will have the rest of the afternoon/evening to explore. Due to our central location and the eateries available in Stratford-Upon-Avon, dinner is not included at the hotel this evening.

Day 9 - Wednesday:

This morning we head into the beautiful Cotswolds, visiting the pretty little villages of Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold. Giving leisure time in each destination, before returning to Stratford for the afternoon/evening at leisure. Dinner is not included at the hotel this evening.

Day 10 - Thursday:

Oxford - Home
After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and head to the nearby, historic University City of Oxford. Spend time exploring before we continue homeward bound after lunch.
