Day 1 - Sunday:

We depart Kent this morning and head to the Lake District, for our 2 night stay.

Day 2 - Monday:

Today we take a scenic drive north through the Lake District. We ride along Lake Windermere, making a short stop in Windermere. Before continuing on to Ullswater and reaching Keswick, the capital of the North Lakes area, where we also enjoy lunch. We return to the hotel, stopping in Grasmere. This small, but very well-known village is the perfect place to stretch your legs before we head back to the hotel.

Day 3 - Tuesday:

After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey to Northumberland, our second hotel – The White Swan. We stop on the way in the beautiful scenic destination of Kielder, arriving in the afternoon at our second destination of Alnwick.

Day 4 - Wednesday:

After a leisurely breakfast, we journey along the Northumberland coast making our first stop in the pretty harbour of Seahouses. After enjoying some free time here, we continue further along the coast to Bamburgh. Perhaps visit the Grace Darling Museum or take a stroll along the beachfront. This afternoon we head back to Alnwick where you have some free time to explore the traditional market town.

Day 5 - Thursday:

After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey to North Yorkshire, our third hotel – The Old Swan. We stop on the way in the Delightful City of Durham, arriving in the afternoon at our third destination of Harrogate.

Day 6 - Friday:

Today we explore Harrogate at leisure. Enjoy a lovely stroll through beautiful Valley Gardens or explore the delightful independent shops of the Montpellier Quarter or the Victorian Westminster Arcade. Have a relaxing lunch in one of the many restaurants, cafes and bars – maybe even visit the famous ‘Betty’s Tearooms’.

After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.

Lakeside Hotel & Spa

The 4* Lakeside Hotel & Spa is ideally situated on the water’s edge of Lake Windermere in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Hotel facilities include a heated Pool, Gym and Spa. All bedrooms are en suite, have television and tea/coffee facilities. Hotel has a lift.

White Swan, Alnwick

Set in the heart of the historic market town of Alnwick, the White Swan is a charming, 300-year-old coaching inn that blends its unique heritage with superb accommodation.

All bedrooms are ensuite and have television, telephone, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities.

Old Swan, Harrogate

The Old Swan Hotel stands in the centre of the lovely town of Harrogate in Yorkshire. Bedrooms are stylishly furnished and the public areas include the Library restaurant, the Wedgwood Room, and the lounge bar. All bedrooms are ensuite and have satellite television telephone, hairdryer, and tea & coffee facilities. The hotel has a lift.
