Day 1 - Monday

We depart Kent and travel to North Wales, for our 4-night stay in Mold. We are warmly welcomed with tea, coffee and Bara Brith cake on arrival.

Day 2 - Tuesday

This morning, we visit Conwy, one of Britain’s best-preserved medieval towns. This afternoon is to Beaumaris, in the southeast corner of Anglesey for a 75-minute Puffin Island Wildlife Cruise. With an abundance of wildlife in their natural habitat, look out for the seabirds, grey seals and possibly bottlenose dolphins! We return to the hotel via the stunning Snowdonia National Park. Entertainment at the hotel this evening.

Day 3 - Wednesday

We head south this morning travelling over the spectacular Horseshoe Pass to Llangollen. Enjoy a lovely horse drawn boat trip along the canal, which is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to a rich variety of local flora and fauna. This afternoon we visit Erdigg Hall, one of the country’s finest stately homes, built in 1864-1867 for Josiah Edisbury, the High Sheriff of Denbighshire. Explore this much-loved house and garden, which is filled with stories of the family and their servants, whom were held in unusually high regard.

Day 4 - Thursday

First stop today is the small market town of Ruthin for time at leisure. We then move on to Bala for a delightful narrow gauge steam train journey through the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. The 9-mile return journey, alongside Bala Lake gives excellent views of the lake and surrounding scenery. Returning to our hotel for dinner this evening, followed by entertainment.

Sadly, it’s time to head home.

Beaufort Park Hotel, Mold

 

The Beaufort Park is a 3 star hotel located near Mold and close to the beautiful countryside of North Wales. This comfortable hotel has been providing a warm welcome to groups for many years. Although there is no lift at the hotel, there are ground floor rooms available. All rooms are equipped with a TV, trouser press, tea/coffee making facilities and a hair dryer. All en-suites have a shower over bath. The hotel also has a coffee shop which is open throughout the day. There is no lift at the hotel, but some ground floor rooms are available.
