A spring tour to Cardigan Bay. Take in the natural beauty of the Pembrokeshire Coast, visit Britain’s smallest city, St Davids, home of the Patron Saint of Wales and learn about the wool heritage of the country at the National Wool Museum.

Day 1 - Monday:

We depart Kent this morning and travel to Cardigan, for our 4-night stay at The Cliff Hotel & Spa. Welcomed with tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival. Enjoy 50% discount on selected house wine, draft beer, and soft drinks between 6pm-9pm each evening.

Day 2 - Tuesday:

After a leisurely breakfast, we journey through the Teifi Valley to the National Wool Museum. Historically, the wool trade was the most important and widespread industry in Wales with the Teifi Valley the centre of this thriving economy. The museum shares the story of this trade and shows the process of weaving magic - turning fleece into fabric. After our visit, we return through the valley to Cardigan where we enjoy free time to explore at leisure.

Day 3 - Wednesday:

his morning, we travel south to the small seaside resort of Saundersfoot. We have time to look around and maybe enjoy an ice cream by the wide sandy beach before we continue to Tenby. Regarded as one of the prettiest resorts in Wales, Tenby is renowned for its lovely golden beaches and picturesque harbour. Explore the old town walls, interesting little side streets and alleyways. Perhaps visit Tenby Museum and Art Gallery or just take in the views and explore the boutique shops and cafes of this beautiful resort. Following dinner tonight there is an evening of entertainment.

Day 4 - Thursday:

After breakfast, we enjoy a scenic drive. Enjoy free time at leisure with the option of browsing the small independent stores, exploring St Davids Cathedral or visiting the Oriel y Parc Gallery which displays national works of art. (Both castle and gallery are free of charge).

After breakfast we leave and begin our journey home.

The Cliff Hotel & Spa

 

The Cliff Hotel and Spa boasts breathtaking views over Cardigan Bay. Hotel facilities include a spa with a salt water hydro pool, steam room, jacuzzi, sauna, heated loungers, and gym. All bedrooms are ensuite with television, telephone, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift to all floors.
