Day 1 - Thursday

We travel to South Wales for our 4-night stay.

Day 2 - Friday

Swansea, National Waterfront Museum, Mumbles & Picturesque Drive
This morning, we travel across Swansea Bay to the city of Swansea where we visit the famous traditional market in the city centre. Later we head for the marina to visit the National Waterfront Museum which tells the human story of Welsh industry and innovation now and over the past 300 years. This afternoon we travel to the picturesque Gower Peninsula - Britain’s first designated ‘Area of Outstanding Beauty’ making a stop in the Victorian seaside resort of Mumbles. We enjoy some free time here before going on a picturesque drive through the park. We view the nature reserve of Worm’s Head, and Rhossili Bay, where the 250ft cliff drops steeply to the beach below.

Day 3- Saturday

Carmarthen & National Botanic Garden of Wales This morning, we travel to Carmarthen, the oldest city in Wales. We have some free time to sightsee here and obtain lunch before our afternoon excursion to the international award-winning National Botanic Garden of Wales.

Day 4 - Sunday

Brecon Mountain Railway & Penderyn Distillery Our day takes us north-east to the small village of Pant where we board the Brecon Mountain Railway, one of the Great Little Trains of Wales. We enjoy a scenic ride through the Brecon Beacons National Park. Following our train journey, we have time to obtain lunch in Brecon before making the journey to Penderyn Distillery, home to the most famous whisky of Wales. Here you will enjoy a guided tour of the distillery followed by a tasting of some Penderyn Whisky

Day 5 - Monday

Sadly, its time to head home.

Mercure Swansea Hotel

The Mercure Swansea Hotel is situated near the city centre but also close to the M4 giving easy access to the wider region. All bedrooms have ensuite facilities, TV, telephone, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift.
