Torquay has a rightful reputation as the jewel in the crown of the English Riviera. The traditional and thriving seaside town was the top trending UK holiday destination in 2021. With its iconic palm trees, busy harbour, international marina, sandy beach and wonderful array of continental style cafes, restaurants and bars, Torquay is the perfect spot for a South Devon seaside holiday or short break.

Day 1 - Monday:
We depart Kent and travel to Torquay for our 4-night stay.
DDay 2 - Tuesday:
After breakfast, we make our way to the City of Exeter where we visit the cathedral for a guided tour. Discover the history of this magnificent example of Gothic architecture and hear the stories of the people who have lived and worshipped here for nearly a thousand years. You’ll have the afternoon free to explore Exeter. Perhaps visit the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery, explore the city’s Underground Passages, or wander down to the Quayside with its fascinating history, interesting architecture, lively events and waterside pubs, restaurants and cafes.
B, DDay 3 - Wednesday:
Today is a free day to relax and enjoy the delights of the seaside resort of Torquay. The town has many attractions, cafes and shops to explore. Torre Abbey and Gardens is just steps from the hotel and well worth a visit. The resort is also famous for its connection with Agatha Christie and a famous mile-walking trail guides you to some of the places associated with the famous crime author.
B, DDay 4 - Thursday
This morning, we journey to Buckfast Abbey, home to a community of Roman Catholic Benedictine Monks. We take in the peaceful atmosphere exploring the beautiful church and tranquil gardens. This afternoon we head to Buckfastleigh Station to enjoy a ride on the South Devon Railway. Originally a Great Western Railway branch line, the line hugs the Dart estuary on the journey to Totnes. You’ll have time to stretch your legs at the station before returning to Buckfastleigh to meet our coach and travel back to our hotel.
B, DDay 5 - Friday:
Sadly, it’s time to head home. We check out after breakfast.
