The 4-star Arklow Bay Hotel is located on the outskirts of the town and set back from the bay itself. The hotel grounds include a lovely pond and a walkway beside the dunes.
It is a 15/20-minute walk to the centre of Arklow and to the sea itself. On entry to the hotel, there is a large, light, comfortable lounge/reception area. Opposite reception is large bar with plenty of seating and a friendly atmosphere.
Taking either 5 steps from the reception or the lift is the modern, but very welcoming, split-level restaurant which was refreshed in 2017. The hotel has 91 spacious guest bedrooms, and the majority are twin or double room.
There are no actual single rooms at the hotel. Leisure facilities are in a separate building and include a pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room.
