DDay 2 - Saturday:
We spend today at leisure in Bath where we can visit the remains of one of the finest spas of the ancient world, The Roman Baths, before enjoying lunch in the Roman Baths Kitchen or Pump Room Restaurant. We can then explore stunning Bath Abbey, the Jane Austen Museum, or the Fashion Museum amongst other fine options. We return to our hotel in Bristol, with time to freshen up before our evening meal.
B, DDay 3 - Sunday:
Our day starts with a visit to the restored harbourside area of Bristol. From there, we take a 60 minute Bristol Packet Boat Trip with commentary detailing the fascinating history of the area. Once a busy dock where sailors and merchants would trade goods and set sail for voyages of discovery, Bristol’s Harbourside is now an attractive, modern development filled with restaurants, bars, shops and hotels. The area is alive with the buzz of Sunday markets, waterside restaurants and bars.
In the afternoon, we enjoy a guided tour of Aerospace Bristol, which offers a unique glimpse inside the aerospace industry from the point of view of the people who designed and built our nation’s aircraft over the past 100 years. We get the chance to step aboard its star attraction, the iconic Concorde Alpha Foxtrot, the last of the supersonic passenger jets to be built and the last to fly
Day 4 - Monday:
We check out after breakfast and head home.
