Christmas at Beamish

Day 1 - Sunday:

We make our way North to our hotel in Newcastle.
Welcomed with tea/coffee on arrival

Day 2 - Monday:

Newcastle & Alnwick Garden Light Trail

This morning is at leisure in Newcastle. With a
wide array of activities and attractions to explore,
including the historic Newcastle Castle and the
vibrant Quayside, home to trendy bars, restaurants
and the stunning Gateshead Millennium Bridge.

We then visit The Alnwick Garden to admire the
beautiful Winter Light Trail. Sparkling and
shimmering illuminations light up the gardens in a
stunning sound and light extravaganza at this
after-dark spectacular.

Day 3 - Tuesday:

Beamish Museum

Today we delve into Christmases past with a truly
traditional Christmas in Beamish. You can indulge
in roasted chestnuts, mulled wine and
entertainment in the beautifully decorated museum,
wander around stalls in the 1900's Town, and try
your hand at traditional crafts and activities.

Day 4 - Wednesday

Durham

Today we discover the captivating medieval city of
Durham, the jewel in the crown of an extraordinary
county and a wonderful place to explore with
ancient winding streets packed with history,
culture and stunning architecture, including the
magnificent Norman Castle and Cathedral.

Day 5 - Thursday

We check out and head home.
