Dunster by Candlelight has been a fixture in the village since 1986. Over the weekend of 6-8 December, the Dunster Winter Festival will carry on the traditions of the event. There will be lanterns, entertainment and the castle will be open to visitors.

Please note:
There is no coach parking in Dunster. The coach will drop passengers off, but then has to move to a Coach park.
ALL PASSENGERS MUST PAY FOR A BUS FARE TO RETURN TO THE COACH.
Day 1 - Friday:
We make our way to our hotel in Bidefrod, where we spend the next 3 nights.
Enjoy a 3 course menu with 3 choices per course for dinner.
Day 2 - Saturday:
Breakfast at the hotel.
Today we visit Dunster Winter Festival (entrance included).
We return to the hotel in time to freshen up before tonights evening meal. This evening we enjoy a Traditional Christmas Day Dinner, plus a glass of bubbly.
There will also be a visit from Santa, with a small gift.
Day 3 - Sunday:
Breakfast at the hotel this morning, with the rest of the day at leisure.
Make the most of the 'Happy House' (buy 1 get 1 free) between 15:00-17:00 this afternoon.
After our 3 course dinner, its time to Party..! With a fancy dress competition and a night of seasonal entertainment.
Day 4 - Monday:
We check out after breakfast and head home.

This 3-star hotel is on the outskirts of the historic port of Bideford and has views over the Torridge estuary. It has free Wi-Fi, free parking, a sauna and an outdoor pool. The Durrant House Hotel is in North Devon and is within easy reach of the area's sandy beaches and beautiful countryside. The rooms have tea/coffee, TVs, hairdryers and Italian marble en suite bathrooms. A full English breakfast is available every day. The Olive Tree Restaurant has a traditional style with oak panelling. Dishes are cooked to order and made with fresh local produce. The Appledore Bar serves simple, home-cooked food with a variety of grills, basket meals, baguettes and burgers.
