Shepherd Neame Brewery Tour & Lunch

The Faversham Brewery is home to Shepherd Neame, Britains Oldest Brewer. We start with a tour around the site to learn about the ancient art of brewing. See brewing and fermentation vessels; taste natural mineral water from the brewerys well; try some malted barley and smell locally-grown Kentish hops. We finish the tour at the visitor centre with a tutored tasting of Shepherd Neames Kentish ales and specialty lagers. After a fascinating morning, we tuck into a delicious sausage and mash lunch, with a drink included, followed by homemade bread & butter pudding.

The tour itself is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes and includes historic buildings with steep staircases and uneven surfaces.

The tour may, therefore, be difficult for infirm visitors and is not suitable for wheelchair users – virtual tours are available as an alternative but must be booked in advance.

The brewery is a working industrial site so, practical footwear that covers your whole foot is required - any visitors wearing sandals, flip flops, Crocs, Birkenstock style shoes or high heels will not be permitted to join the tour.  Please make sure everyone in your party is aware of this before arriving for the visit, as we do not wish to turn anyone away.

Production or engineering considerations may restrict access to certain areas on some occasions.

Brewing is a batch process so we cannot guarantee that any particular piece of equipment will be in use at the time of your visit.
